Mining Equipment HVAC in Rustenburg

Local context

Rustenburg sits at the centre of the western limb of the Bushveld Complex and functions as the servicing and logistics hub for the surrounding platinum and chrome operations. Workshops, fleet yards and contractor bases are concentrated around the industrial areas off the R24 and R510 corridors, which means most mobile plant HVAC work in the district either starts or ends here.

Working conditions here

Summer cabin temperatures on machines standing in open yards regularly climb far beyond ambient, and the fine Bushveld dust that carries across haul roads loads condensers and evaporators quickly. Both factors shorten service intervals compared with urban commercial air conditioning.
