Mining Loader HVAC — Maintenance Contracts in Boitekong
This page covers mining loader hvac in Boitekong, rustenburg urban east within the Rustenburg mining belt. An agreed scope, interval and reporting format so HVAC becomes a budgeted line rather than reactive spend. Proximity to shaft infrastructure means a steady demand for change house, security office and technical room cooling, alongside cabin air conditioning on the vehicles moving between those facilities.
Mining Loaders in the Rustenburg belt
Mining loaders passing through Rustenburg workshops may return to both surface stockpiles and humid confined workings. Drainage and evaporator condition need to be assessed for that transition, because a dry workshop can hide water carry-over complaints. Record the intended assignment and restore hose protection before release rather than applying the same checklist used for a surface-only loader.
Typical specification
16 000 – 26 000 BTU/h typical cabin duty
Because these machines move between environments, condensation behaviour changes through the shift. Systems that appear adequate on surface can carry water and fog glass when the machine works in a humid area, which is why drainage and airflow are assessed as carefully as refrigerant charge.
Common problems in this application
- Condensate carry-over when moving between humid and dry environments
- Evaporator fouling from combined dust and moisture
- Impact damage to condensers and guarding in confined areas
- Leaks at hose runs exposed to rock contact
